I hope that your summer is going better than our winter and spring. 2020 seems to be keeping us on our toes, that’s for sure. So much has been going on that it’s been exhausting trying to keep up.
That said, I have some exciting news to share:
Butterfly Edizioni, a publisher in Italy has reached out to me and has offered to transcribe into Italian and publish my first book Her Guarded Heart. If it goes well, we are talking about continuing the series. As soon as I know more, I promise, I’ll share it all.
This is a brief description of the Butterfly Edizioni:
Butterfly Edizioni is an Italian publishing house founded and directed by Argeta Brozi, a bestseller author herself (her most famous novel is “Tentazioni”, published by Newton Compton Editori). Butterfly Edizioni specializes in romance novels, including thrillers. They have been around for almost eight years and most of their books have entered Amazon’s Top 100.
Butterfly Edizioni was born on 10th January 2011 in Correggio (RE) thanks to the passion of Argeta Brozi, with ten-years of experience in the publishing sector. The publishing house is the second youngest in Italy and intends to enhance the works of emerging authors, but also gives space to well-known writers. Travels and Adventures:
We snuck away overnight for a camping trip in the mountains and then we made a quick trip down to San Louis Obispo area to visit the in-laws, and the newest member of the family, Christa who was born at the end of last year. Other than that, I expect that June will come and go without much change to the homefront.
Rubicon just adored the kids. Noah who just turned five was not a fan of dogs before, he was afraid of them after a bad encounter, and yet he just had a blast playing with Rubi. As for the baby, Christa is about 6 months old, and Rubi was smitten. She checked on the baby constantly, kissing her toes, and sniffing her head while she slept. She loved it with the baby smiled or made any of the usual baby noises!
I hope everyone is staying safe and staying sane. I know that this has been crazy times, but remember we are all in this together. Hang in there.
Animal Antics:
Rubi has gone camping for the first time ever in the middle of May. We took her to a small out of the way place in the hills, not an actual campground, or where it was peopley… Just some nice quiet time enjoying nature overnight. Our little world traveler has been a great adventurer…
A New Creative Space:
Being in lockdown, with no prospect of spending copious amounts of money on the office remodel, I’ve spent my time, dreaming and shopping, trying to get a feel for what would work best for the room, and my needs, and of course my bizarre, complicated, conflicting personality. Printing pictures and staring at them has been helping me get a feel for what I am looking for. I’ve changed my mind a few times already…
I have one wall that is currently wall to wall bookshelves, and eventually, we will have custom shelves built into that section so the fit right, and look awesome, not a thrown-together stack of mini bookshelves.
On the other wall, we have 2 of the mini bookshelves lined up. We ended up with them when the in-laws moved. So we just did what they had done by stacking them and using them the same way, with this room being significantly smaller, we had the 2 extra bookshelves.
I’m looking to remove the two mini bookshelves and replacing it with a nice piece of furniture. I still need storage space, I have so much crap I’ve collected (hoarded) over the years that I’m still slowly pairing down. I found 6, no joke, 6 staple removers in my desk drawer. I have 2 tape dispensers, a few staplers… Nope, honestly had no idea I ended up with multiples of so many things. So trying to go through them, and purge, but that will take a while.
This has the two barn door style sliding doors, which will hide two of the sections, and leave 2 open for pretties… I can either have the pretties in the middle or on each side and still have space hidden for the miscellaneous crap. My TVs are all on walls, so this is just for storage and pretties on displays.
