A Championship Sized Celebration
On Saturday, January 31, 2015 the awards banquet and end of the season celebration was held to recognize another fantastic season of racing. Both the 2014 Pacific Challenge Series Late Model Racing Championship, and the North State Modified Series were recipients of awards.
Mike Beeler of Beeler Industries, the 2014 Champion, raced all eight races, accumulating a total of 340 points for the season, successfully exceeding even the 2013 PCS Championship winner’s points. The last race of the season was held at the All American Speedway, a 1/3-mile NASCAR-sanctioned racetrack located in Roseville, California on October 11, 2014. There was forty-car field for this race, something that is considered un-heard of, with a full grandstand to watch it all unfold.
Mike was joined by his fantastic family, his wife Rebecca, son Hans, and his “racing wife,” and right hand at both his office and his racing world, (Office Manager) Linda Hamilton, as well as his crew and their wives under the leadership of Mike David of David’s Racing Products was also there to celebrate. We filled two full tables with our group. The Beeler’s rented a limo to take us up to Williams, California to Granzella’s Banquet Hall and Restaurant where the festivities were held.
The most notable thing that was repeated time and time again from those receiving awards was what a clean race Mike Beeler always raced. For those in the racing world, there is no bigger compliment about a driver, than someone who wins by doing it honestly and fairly.
A fantastic write up was in the December 10th Issue of Late Model Digest about the race and Mike Beeler.
