Falling in Love with Fall

Hello Friends,

The summer is winding down and we are finally seeing some slightly lower temperatures. At least it’s not hotter than Hades all night long. That alone is a huge relief.

On a lark, my husband and I took the puppy on a Sunday drive up to the mountains, visiting Leavitt Lake and Kennedy Meadows for lunch. It was exactly what the doctor ordered, a peaceful day at the lake, hanging out with my two greatest loves. It was such a beautiful day, one that makes the best picture memories.

We did a road trip up to Redding to visit the family and after lunch, we took the dogs and did a quick visit to the Sundial Bridge.

We spent the Labor Day weekend in Oregon visiting friends and family, it was a much needed time to relax and reflect. I actually got some more writing done on my next book, something that I’d been neglecting. The book had been delayed from the hoped-for release in the spring, and we skipped right past summer, so now we are just accepting that it won’t be out until just before the holidays again. Best laid plans and all that. But it is coming, for those that ask me often. We are still working on getting the cover just right. I can’t wait to show you all what we come up with. It’s just taking a little more time than usual, which just seems par for the course of this book altogether!

I still have a few promos continuing on, so if you haven’t already take a look and find something great to read by some amazing authors.

Animal Antics:

Rubicon is growing so fast. She’s still a little thing, but she’s certainly not a runt. At her last weigh-in, she’d gained 2 lbs in a week! She’s now at 12.5 lbs. We bought little booties to try out, and she was not a fan! But it was the cutest thing I’ve ever seen to watch her walk in them. One of her favorite places to hang out is the husband’s pillows. She curls up in them every morning to watch me while I’m getting ready for work. Rubi is still a bundle of energy and full of love and snuggles. She’s everything we could have asked for and more.

Your puppy is so cute! I think she’s saying…mom why are you embarrassing me making me wear these booties. My dog doesn’t like anything on her feet either.
