Happy Valentine’s Day!
One of my least favorite holidays growing up now is one of my favorites as a romance writer. While we should always show our loved ones how we feel, we often forget. We get busy with our daily lives, and the little things like taking a moment to smell the roses take a back seat. Some people think that it’s overrated and a “Hallmark” holiday so they can ignore it and disregard it. Ironically those are the same people who don’t make a habit of bringing their partners flowers once a week or cooking them a special dinner each month. Many of these same people often forget birthdays, or anniversaries, and always have an excuse in their back pocket. But they say they don’t “need” a day set aside to remind them to share their love.
So I say, take it. Take this one day that exists as a reminder for the world that Love is Love. And that it is vital to our wellbeing as people. Now I’m not saying that you need to go crazy broke. That’s not what the day represents. Or what it should.
A hug, a text, a bouquet of flowers from your garden. Remember being a kid when you shared paper valentine’s cards, and cheap conversation hearts. It’s not about the cost, it’s all about the special thought that counts. And you have to show that you cared enough to share with another person that thought.
So go out and hug the people you love.

In Anna’s own words:
Author Bio:
USA Today and national bestselling author Anna J. Stewart writes sweet to sexy romance for Harlequin’s Heartwarming and Romantic Suspense lines. Early obsessions with Star Wars, Star Trek, and Wonder Woman set her on the path to creating fun, funny, and family-centric romances with happily ever afters for her independent heroines.
A former Golden Heart nominee and 2018 Daphne DuMaurier finalist, her Heartwarming book RECIPE FOR REDEMPTION was recently turned into a holiday movie for UPtv (A CHRISTMAS RECIPE FOR ROMANCE) and aired during the 2019 holiday season.
Since her first novella with Harlequin in 2014, Anna has written and published more than forty romances in multiple sub-genres. Anna lives in Northern California where she deals with a serious Supernatural and Jason Momoa addiction and surrounds herself with friends and family. When she’s not writing, you can find her cooking and baking, attending fan conventions, at her local movie theater, or building her client list for her content editing services.

My third book is still being edited, yeah this book has been a really long process, so I’m not sure of the exact release date right now, it’s aimed for April, but I’m hoping to make it earlier. The book is up for pre-order now.
His Heart’s Promise
Up for pre-order today here:
Blurb:
A determined woman’s dream…
For Sophie Compte, everything she’s ever wanted is in the palm of her hands. Her long-time beau has proposed. The wedding of the century is coming together nicely. Her father is handing over the daily operations of their horse breeding farm to her and her fiancé.
A stubborn man’s plan…
Claude Durand finally found the courage to slip the ring on his childhood sweetheart’s finger. It’s not that he had ever doubted he would. He just needed time to make something of himself that was independent of his life on the Compte family horse farm.
A world turned upside down…
For Sophie and Claude, their relationship has been a roller coaster of drama and hardships. Now though their time has come. Everything is as it should be. In an instant, everything crashes leaving a pile of rubble in the place of their hopes and dreams, and they are left to question if life will ever be the same. Faced with battered dreams, and forgotten love, they must decide if they can let go of what once was, and push towards a future neither had ever expected.
Travels and Adventures:
January is a pretty quiet month for us. Other than my husband’s birthday, a quick shout out to him since he turned 45 this year, we usually stick close to home and hibernate a bit. We also take our time getting ready for the next big trip, during the first week in February. He’s going down to King of the Hammers (KOH) for the annual races in Johnson Valley. For the most part, it is a man trip since most of the group comes down without their wives.
Animal Antics:
Rubicon is growing like a weed. She’s almost 10 months old now. We’ve been working on teaching her manners, which is easier said than done with a pug. They are notoriously stubborn animals. Smart as a whip, but stubborn as hell. She’s now a pro at following a few commands. Others she knows but selectively chooses to ignore them most of the time. Shrugs. For now, we’ve got her sitting, laying down, getting onto her bed, playing fetch and actually returning the ball, jumping and willingly going inside her tent playpen. We’re on playpen #2 since she was able to turn the first one into a pinwheel and break it within a few days! (The tan one below) The new one (The orange one) is a bit sturdier and a thousand times easier to set up and break down… HUGE difference there. We’re still working on the whole shaking paw thing. It’s hit and miss at this point.
She’s also a huge lover of apples, tangerines, baby carrots, and cheese. And of course all kinds of beef jerky. But on another note, she now has to share her Full Moon Training treats, because Peabody is obsessed with them and comes and steals them every chance she gets, but since she’s been nicer to Rubi, we let her get away with it!
A New Creative Space:
On the home front, we are still struggling to find just the right color for the walls. I never in a million years would have expected it to be so complicated to find a seafoam blue-green-gray color that is not overbearing and gives the room a warm feeling. I’m not a huge fan of most pastels, and the room is too small for bright neon colors. I’m beginning to think this project is on the 10-year plan! Sheesh.
