It’s Summer! Here we go again!
Things are Heating Up!
Hello Everyone,
Happy Father’s Day to all the fathers out there that step up help make the world a better place for all kids, whether the two or four-legged ones. I miss my dad every single day. I still catch myself reaching for the phone to tell him about the progress of my latest book which he would have cheered me on, or the latest book I’ve read that he would have loved. There are constant reminders of the little things in life that we had in common and yet both fostered those loves separately, only learning later in life how similar our tastes were.
It’s getting to be a busy season. The day job is still going strong, so is the crazy commute, the book is almost finished, fingers crossed, and I hope to do a cover reveal soon. I’m hoping to get an Etsy store going to be able to offer some signed paperbacks of the books soon for those that have asked.
Animal Antics:
This month we introduce you to Mr. Bingly, the very last addition to our cat zoo. (With 5 cats, we really don’t have room for more. My doctors are all grateful for this late revelation!)
I brought him home while the husband was away at a boy’s trip. It really isn’t wise to leave me unsupervised for long periods of time. One day he may come home to a baby elephant in the back yard or a dolphin in the bathtub, you never really know with me! 😉 though right now I’m actively campaigning for another pug puppy. So far the husband is still solidly in the HELL NO! camp, but I’m wearing him down…
There was an email that came through that said that people in my neighborhood had this little orange guy that needed a new home, that the wife was allergic to cats and they couldn’t keep him. He’d been found abandoned in a shopping center parking lot.
I can’t decide if Peabody is loving the new guy, or if she’s trying to hug him to death! 😉 one never knows with our bratty housemate, she’s pretty nasty on occasion!
He reminded me a little of Toby, and my heart just ached to give him a forever home. Though he looks sweet and innocent here, he is a mischief maker of the highest order.
About the same time I adopted him, other friends also brought home little orange tabby cats, so we keep everyone up to date on their various antics.
Look at those little pink jelly bean toes. Ah. They still melt my heart.
