Greetings –
This year my husband had flowers delivered to me while he was working at the shop with the boys. I wasn’t expecting them since he usually doesn’t do flowers for Valentine’s Day; he waits until May for our anniversary. But boy were they beautiful. Four different colored roses, white, red, pink, and burnt orange. That’s a picture of them above. I moved them from the kitchen counter, in the picture, to my office to protect them from the very curious cats who just love to chew on them. For the week, my office smelled like a warm spring day. It was heavenly.
Some Fun Stuff:
I’ve been cleaning up my house and office and such, just doing the usual purge that happens when you go looking for something that you put away to keep safe, and then of course can’t find it to save your life… What a rabbit hole that leads to.
So while doing that I came across a bunch of cute things that I always meant to give away as gifts, birthdays, stocking stuffers, etc. I also came across a note I had written about a dozen or so e-Books I’d bought from some of my favorite authors to use as give-aways as well. I’ve started putting things together to use as part of my gift packs. For those buying signed copies of the paperbacks, I’ve got matching bookmarks with gorgeous charms that relate to each story. I’ve got lots of goodies to go with the gift packs. If you are interested in getting a gift box for yourself or a friend:
You can always shoot me an email here: [email protected], or respond to the email.
All Things Writing:
I’m neck-deep in the writing world these days. So much so I get lost in it and forget the time, then have to scramble to get chores done, or dinner made. But that’s a good kind of trouble. It means the words, and the imagination is flowing.
Not only am I working on Leila and Yuri’s story—I’m about halfway through this and I am still hoping to have that out by this summer. But, I am also working hard on edits and re-writes to Cassie’s story which god willing is set to come directly after Leila’s. But on top of all of that, I got another crazy idea for a new project. So I’m dashing down notes like crazy on two different mystery/suspense style series that I’m hoping to flesh out in the coming months so that they can hit the shelves as soon as I get a better handle on this one.

John T. and his neighbor are caught up in a feud over land and Clary’s daughter. When danger strikes, swift and hard, Ben has a decision to make. Turn his back and ride away from people he’s grown to care about or break his rule of minding his own business, and stay and fight.

Travels and Adventures:
We don’t do a lot of traveling during the winter, we basically hunker down and take some time to catch up on things we don’t get around to during over the summer and fall months. Between the Covid virus still wreaking havoc on everyday life, and Mother Nature pissed off at pretty much everyone, there hasn’t been much of a desire to leave home anyway.
Animal Antics:
As always life at the Baca menagerie is crazy as can be. I just recently joined TikTok and my first video was about the goofy noises CJ and Rubi make when they are playing. They are a riot to watch.
You can see the video here, and follow me on TikTok my user name is @BacaDawn just like on Twitter.
Rubicon, CJ, and the cat Frodo our long-haired kitty all got baths and nails clipped last week and that was an interesting day. That’s about all I’ve had the energy to deal with outside of their first visit to a city dog park.
The New Creative Space:
For some reason, my newsletters were only sending the images to some people, and sometimes only some of the images! Technology is taking its toll on my sanity lately. So below are a handful of pictures that I’ve been sending out, that not all have seen. Also, they are posted regularly on the Pinterest page, so if all else fails, they are always there to see. So far we’ve finally gotten the can lights in the ceiling. The difference is unbelievable. So much more light. I absolutely love it now.
But I am always up for new suggestions and ideas, so keep them coming. I really do love hearing from you.
To keep up with all the changes, and make suggestions, tell me what you like or don’t like, all suggestions are welcome, follow my board on Pinterest here: New Home Office
