Making Friends with Camels

November is a busy, crazy month. There are two holidays, Veteran’s Day, and of course Thanksgiving. Only one of them I have to scrub my house, my dogs and clean my carpets, which I am truly grateful for. This is the month for being thankful. Thankful for your family, thankful for your friends, thankful for everything you have in your life.

November is also the National Novel Writing Month or NaNo WriMo. It is a crazy contest of wills, wits and determination to get 50,000 words down in 30 days. This year I am struggling far more than I did last year. Which is ironic and something only other writers can relate to, this need to spend a month working on a new story when the last one isn’t finished quite yet. I’m far behind the word count that I should be, I’ve only managed to get 20,000 words down this month.

This month has also brought about un-expected drama and tension so I’ve decided that in order to inject some humor into the moment I would take one for the team. So below is a video taken while we were on a trip to Australia. New friends we met on the cruise ship took this while I was busy negotiating a truce with a camel.

I hope that everyone, our friends and family, new and old, all have a fabulous Thanksgiving Holiday. I hope that you find it full of food, and love, and peace and understanding.
